Carefully curated lists of songs that remind me of the gameshows I love
Proto-Playlists
There are some gameshows that have songs I associate with them but haven't collected enough for a full playlist. Every gameshow with child contestants and a narrative can be linked to The Kids in the Dark by All Time Low.
For Raven, I have Princes of the Universe by Queen for Raven of Old and Queen of Kings by Alessandra for Raven of New, as well as Warriors (She-Ra theme) by Aaliyah Rose.
For Trapped! and specifically Wiley Sneak I have Fallen Leaves by Billy Talent, All The Things She Said by t.A.T.u, and You First by Paramore.
Knightmare works well with We Close our Eyes by Go West, if a little sarcastically.
I sort of associate The Horror and The Wild by The Amazing Devil with The Quest.
The Project Z/Prosiect Z/Itopia-verse works really well with Zombie by The Cranberries, with the lines about silence working with Zeds being attracted to noise, the lines about children refering to the infected contestants, the family lines working with the Hunters, the Thomases and the Stines as well as the whole obvious zombie thing.
However the song is also very much not about zombies, it's about the Troubles and it's difficult to seperate it from its context.
